Our history as a wedding photographer

We are Manolis and Dimitris Mindrinos, brothers, collaborators, but above all, two people who share the same passion: to capture life’s most precious moments through the lens. Originally from the enchanting island of Santorini and Crete, but raised in the heart of Athens, in Elliniko and Argyroupoli, our relationship with the image is deeply rooted in our history.

Our history with art did not start by chance. Born in 1977 (Manolis) and 1981 (Dimitris), we literally grew up in the graphic arts studio of our father, Ioannis, which he created with passion in 1977. There, among colors, papers, films and the first computer screens, we acquired a unique friction as children. We learned to see the world through the prism of composition, aesthetics, typography and the power of visual storytelling long before we picked up our first camera.

This innate inclination and the daily occupation naturally led us to the decision to study photography. In 1998, we graduated from the renowned Leica Academy, now equipped with the theoretical knowledge to accompany our practical experience. Our knowledge of computers, which was already second nature to us, proved to be a valuable asset. We worked for several years in professional photo labs, learning the secrets of the darkroom and printing, but also as assistants alongside experienced wedding photographers, experiencing first-hand the excitement and magic of the day.

In 2003, we felt ready to take the next step by founding our own studio, “Photographic”. It was a pivotal time, the moment of the great transition from analog to digital photography, a change that puzzled many professionals. For us, however, it was a natural progression and a huge opportunity. Our familiarity with the electronic medium and our knowledge of design programs allowed us not only to adopt digital technology, but to marry it creatively with our photographic vision. We pioneered the creation of contemporary digital albums, treating them not as mere collections of photographs, but as artistic narratives with careful graphic design.

Although our activities were initially extended to various fields (such as panoramic and architectural photography or children’s shows), our heart was soon fully dedicated to wedding and christening photography. The ability to capture the authentic joy, the emotion, the small, precious details of these unique family moments became our main motivation.

In 2010, “Photographic” found its permanent “home” in Argyroupoli. We created a beautiful, warm and functional space, ideal for our meetings with couples, but also equipped as a photography studio. In this space, we have the pleasure to coexist and work closely with the talented cameraman Nikos Dimou and his team “I Like to Movie It” ( www.iliketomovieit.gr), thus offering integrated audiovisual solutions of high quality. In 2015, we added another touch of fun to our services by creating our own sophisticated Photobooth, the “Facebooth” ( www.facebooth.gr).

Today, with more than 25 years of experience behind us, we continue to evolve, learn and create with the same undiminished passion. Our own experience as married and parents – with our four wonderful “problem children”, Odysseus, Melina, Giannakis and little Alexander, filling our free time with color and laughter – has given us an even deeper understanding of the importance of the moments we are called upon to capture for you.

Our space in Argyroupoli remains easily accessible (just 5 blocks from the Argyroupoli Metro, on the ground floor) and with easy parking. We invite you to get to know us, share with us your dreams for your own special days and trust us to be the discreet observers and creative storytellers of your own unique love story.

F.A.Q.

WHAT IS YOUR STYLE AS A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER ?

Our style in wedding and baptism photography leans more towards a discreet documentation with clear influences from photojournalism, with images emphasizing spontaneous moments and emotions that unfold the story of the day. We won’t neglect to take classic wedding photos with families and friends if you desire, as we don’t consider them insignificant; in the long term, at least, their value increases.

What we consider very important is to create images respecting your personal moments. Human contact is especially important to us. We want you to choose us not only because we offer you a competitive service, but because you feel that you enjoy communicating with us and would like us to be the ones who have the honor and pleasure of capturing your personal moments.

HOW MANY PHOTOS DO YOU TAKE?

We will take lots of photos so that we can have as many options as possible and a complete record of your day. Perhaps the most time consuming but important process after the wedding and christening is the editing and selection of the photos since we are dealing with thousands of photos. We want to provide you with the essence as accurately and simply as possible saving you the hassle of countless photos.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?

We use professional Canon mirrorless cameras and the latest RF lenses

ABOUT DIGITAL ALBUMS?

Digital albums are the most popular way to present your photos. Our experience with graphic design has protected us from so-called ‘childhood diseases’ (use of many photos, effects, etc.). We prefer minimal design because we believe it helps make the album timeless and allows your photos to stand out more. We create the initial design based on our selection, and after reviewing it together, we proceed with printing.

There is a wide selection of Digital Wedding Baptism Albums, designs and sizes to choose the one that suits you.

THE ARCHIVES OF THE HIGH-RESOLUTION (NEGATIVE) PHOTOS ARE YOU GIVING THEM AWAY?

Yes, of course, you can have them; they are included in the price of all our packages. For your convenience, we upload them to a server where you and anyone else you want can select and download the photos from your wedding. Without you wasting any time at all. The intellectual property rights remain ours for promotional uses, e.g., internet, print media, etc.

WHAT IS THE DELIVERY TIME AND HOW DO WE SEE THE SAMPLES?

In a couple of years and we see…. beyond the fun samples are usually ready in 2 weeks after your wedding. They could be the next day but we want to provide you (edited) simply and clearly with the essence, the essence, saving you the trouble of countless photos. Samples are uploaded to a personal server where you can view, share and order your favorite photos.

IS THERE A SECOND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER?

The second photographer at a wedding offers an additional perspective that significantly enriches the photographic result. They capture moments from different angles, simultaneously record events in other spaces (e.g., bride and groom preparation), and capture spontaneous, emotional moments of the guests. They creatively complement the main photographer and ensure that no important moment is missed. They are invaluable for the quality, variety, and security of the final material.

WHAT ABOUT VIDEOGRAPHY?

We have partners we can provide in our packages with our own supervision, or we can recommend videographers for you to contact directly.  Achieving the desired result that expresses you. Certainly, wedding and baptism videography has made great strides in recent years. Having risen in couples’ esteem, it has earned our respect.

HOW IS THE PAYMENT MADE?

The deposit is 20%. Shortly before your wedding, we’ll touch base to review everything, and you’ll pay an additional 60%. The balance is settled upon delivery of the agreed items (e.g., albums and video). Please note that in case of wedding cancellation, the deposit is non-refundable. For date changes, we simply check availability together.  Photobooth: facebooth.gr
